Things arnt going so good with this and still leaking.
Dont think it's the glassing so sealed all the joints put some water in and was looking good this morning, then 1/2 hr later started seeping in the same corner though the leak at the back is ok now just this one.
The corner its leaking is about 1 ft away from the 2ins outlet so dropped the water to below the outlet and it slowed down so I think the glued pipe on the inlet is leaking into the osb and running internally to the corner where it's coming out.
Need this sorting as it's really annoying me, put some pu Inside the connecter so hope that's sorted as the skip is getting very close.John

Keep going John, having seen what you built I'm sure you can overcome the current teething troubles.

Well put it all back together today filled up and fired it up and no leaks and worked well.
Was going off every 3 to 5 mins for a while but settled down now to every 15 mins or so.

Dropped one of these in the dirty side see how it goes cheap enough but probably crap, only 24 v though.
After running for 4 hrs noticed a drip coming from below the 2ins outlet got to be that glue fitting again.
Sent off for some ct 1 and will fix it with that though havnt used it before but believe it can be used when wet so will smear some round the inside of the tank connecter and hope that works.
Mechanically it works fine just these leaks.John

You are getting there John. Apart from the leak it sounds like the drum is doing what it's meant to do. Great progress!

Yes I believe CT1 will seal under water John. Maybe Syd could confirm it.
Good work though, well done________________________________________________

Hope so Frim, wont have to take it apart just drain down disconnect the 2ins outlet and get my finger in there with some ct on after drying first.
Wondering now whether I fitted it the right way round, couldn't use a screw connecter as the wood is 18mm and couldn't use the cover plate as screws too short,so screwed it on from the outside glued a pipe on from the inside then pu18 all round the inside pipe then glassed then more pu18 so can only think the glue failed.John

At the end of the day it doesn't mater how good the sealant is if it's not completely sealed.
You could try the fix for car radiators John and stick a raw egg in the tank lol although I think that only worked because the water temperature was so high. Plus it was only a short term fix at best.
Have you tried to see into the tank with a small mirror and a torch to check you've sealed 100% of the way round the fitting John?________________________________________________

Yes tried all that Frim and the sealant is a smooth as a babys bum, cant see into the tank connecter very well as the connection is in the middle so you are working blind a bit.
Unless I took the whole connecter off and that would disrupt a lot of sealant and glass.
Will sand it a bit to toughen it up first.
Thinking now maybe I should have screwed the tank connecter on from the inside but theologically it shouldn't make much difference,or am I wrongJohn

There you go, I put the screws in back to front then glued the pipe in from the inside if I had glued the pipe first it would have been better, never had one leak before.
If you can see water is trickling from under the joint also running under the drum to the corner and coming out there.John
