https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DC-12V-24...53.m2749.l2648
This is the controller I bought need some advice on wiring.
On the four connection's on the right the top says vn so is that the 12v supply.
Next one down says gnd is that for the neutral or earth.
Third and fourth down says out + and - do they go to the source ie power wiper motor and water spray?
Two connections on the left say sign and gnd do they go to the float switch if so does it matter which way round?
This is connected to my 12v transformer and will be powering wiper motor and water jets controlled by a float level switch.
Any help appreciated.John

Just had a quick look at the ebay link and the terminal block on the right hand side of one of the photos shows -
Top terminal - DC live
2nd terminal - DC neutral
3rd terminal - Live load
4th terminal - Neutral load
Supply from the transformer goes on the top and 2nd terminals
Supply to the load from the controller goes on the 3rd and 4th terminals
Hope that helps?________________________________________________

The 2 terminals on the left look like they are for the float switch but without knowing any more about the controller I would say as it's just a switch then the polarity shouldn't mater but just be aware that it may not power those connections and may require a power supply from the transformer? need to connect the right hand side first and then put the float switch across the left hand terminals and see if it works just by operating the switch? If not then you may have to link the live side of the left terminals to the live from the transformer on the right side terminal?

The misleading part of that drawing is the left hand terminals are showing a voltage rating similar to the DC supply terminals the other side John. So as I mentioned above try with just the switch first once you've connected the right hand side as running no volts through those left hand terminals will do no harm if they are already being powered by the unit compared to running another 12 volts might do?

With you Frim, now the wiper motor runs with power to the yellow on the motor and brown to earth tried with a 12v battery to test drum etc.
There doesn't seem to be an earth on the controller so how does that bit go?
Or do I just connect the earth to the mains earth?John

OK as I mentioned on the phone the other day DC isn't my strong point so I'd go with yellow to the 3rd terminal and brown to the 4th terminal as from memory the 4th terminal was marked as GND I think? Will double check in a minute for you OK. Have you got a volt meter that reads DC? If so just connect the transformer to the top and second terminal making sure you have the live and neutral in the correct terminals and then power the controller up. Then if you put your tester across the 3rd and 4th terminals you should get either a positive or negative voltage very close to what the transformer is supplying say 12 volts. OK? If you swap the tester over on the 3rd and 4th terminals you should see the reading swap from either a positive voltage or a negative voltage or vice versa depending on which way you had the tester connected in the first place. If this is the case then you should be able to connect the yellow to the 3rd terminal and the brown to the 4th terminal as the 4th terminal is the neutral, negative or GND connection.
It's easier with AC as if you wire it back to front most things will still work perfectly OK where as with DC it's common for things to run the opposite way if you swap the live and neutral over.________________________________________________
