    Ah Sol lol

Well that what I said when I had to remove the pump the other day and realised I'd forgotten to fit the slide valve on the inlet of the pump when I rejigged the pipework to remove the barrel filter. I had a valve on the outlet of the pump and another on the outlet of the Eazy Pod but there was some 3" pipework between the slide valve on the outlet of the Eazy Pod and the main pump which I couldn't completely empty before removing the pump. I just turned off the valve on the outlet of the Eazy Pod and ran the pump until it ran dry then shut the valve on the outlet of the pump and turned off the pump. There was still a fair bit of water in the pipework judging by the state of the garage floor a few seconds later once the pump was removed

The shower is running spot on thanks Aj absolutely no faults at all.

    But, unfortunately still getting leaks.
Moved the shower to the other end of the tank as thought it was that but now its leaking from the other side of the tank, havnt done much about it but have another tank connecter to put in which is the next step.

Water is nice and clear now so that's something.

Well think I have sorted the drum leaks, had it out and stripped it down to the bare box then added small feet under it so I could see when it leaked underneath.

Added the water then it leaked so chalked the water line drained the water and smoothed pu18 around where I thought the leak was.
Did this about three times till it stopped,I must have gone round most of the tank with pu.

Anyway all back together and up and running great and no leaks yet !!!
The water was very manky as I had a submersible in but the drum cleared it in a couple of hours.
So fingers crossed and no leaks.
    John

It has been a pain Jon but it works really well, while I had it stripped down I made a wider drain channel inside the drum so it catches the muck more, and made a better tension bearing for the drive belt.
    Took long enough to do.

The Elitech working ok for you?

Glad to hear you got it back up and running so quickly plus sorted out the other mods too which should be a good result moving forward

I think the Elitech is working OK and have just turned it up a little bit this morning from 10 to 11.5 degrees as the ambient temperature in the garage is holding the water temp at just under 13 degrees during the day so thought with it set to 11.5 it will hold it between 11 and 12 rather than 9.5 and 13

Maybe up it slightly over the next few days so it holds 12 to 13 at least?

Hi Steve, That one was scrapped
It worked fine but with leaks and it was too big for the grow on decided to bin it.
Kept the working bits and made a smaller one look for mk2 drum build Steve.
This one is small but works great with no problems at all and was easier to make, see if I can find the link.
