DIY moving bed..
Anyone made a DIY moving bed with a vortex filter?
I got two large vortex filters on eBay a few weeks back...and want to put atleast one of them to use with the up and coming pond build.
Any tips on DIY moving beds?
Cheers

I had some hydra 3000 units which I converted to moving bed quite easily. Bought some cages but like these https://absolute-koi.com/subcat307.html used on inlet then mesh fixed with large jubilee clios on the outflow. Air was just via air stones

Thanks for the heads up about the cages. Was wondering on how to stop the media escaping!

ive got one of the stainless evolution aqua nexus things sat in back garden with the easy section out of a nexus 300 that i was going to use for this purpose, but just decided to keep my nexus 200 instead, just cant be bothered advertising it hahahaha,,,,,andi reason easy is higher is due to having removable legs still on it

they were done for dealers, came in a set of 4,meant to show how each part of a nexus works when they came out, so 1st leaf basket,2nd japmat ,3rd k1 and finally 4th an answer for fines, they were £5000 for the set,not many of the sections left, think most got weighed in as theyre 316 stainless lol,i was going to use mine like a giant easypod by filling the easy or just fill it all with k1,but just kept my nexus 200 and the things been sat in garden probably 12 months hahaha,,,,,andi found a pic on this site AussieKoi.COM.AU - Products
