All electronic components used will be CE marked conformed and once a full system is built will be PAT tested by qualified electricians and labelled as such.
New Owners will be required to use an RCD DEVICE
or purchase without electronics and take responsibility for it yourself by sourcing your own electronics, wiring installing .

Thanks Freddyboy, I didnt work from any plans then had to rush due to my very expensive bio sieve made from plastic suddenly failed with a cracked bottom on a weld seam, running bead filters, a pre filters is a must.
I didnt even bother to clean the welds , well didnt have the time needed it in running asap , needed a bit of tweeking with setting up getting the drum automatically clean at the right time via float switch and installed timer/trigger/delay control module which controls both motor and pump .
drum motor is an industrial Paralux 62NM Torque 8rpm reduction gearbox running at 24v dc
pressure pump is a hozelock ultra pump at 3.5bar pressure at 230v ac
drum screen is 316l 50 micron
drum size is 480mm x 370mm dia
overall total size of drum filter inc outlets is 700mm x 500mm x 550mm H
flow rate 35000 litres comfortably
professional synergy drum filters made of plastic cost around £2400 new
I can make mine from stainless steel 316l for less than half the price and for this price I can install the inlet/outlets where best suits the customers layout to allow as easy install as possible .
I have potential buyers one wants it painted on the outside in black and have it installed by me and willing to pay extra for me doing so, as he's not far from me I dont mind doing this.
he viewed mine yesterday and said its mint seen it all working by itself. as he actually came for my sturgeon and on the just by chance we got on to subject of drum filters and how he's looking to buy one new
I can make any size drum or combo units for any pond ie hobbyist 1000 gallon pond rite through to lakes though the latter would need a premises with space lolLast edited by markini5; 19-10-2019 at 10:26 AM.

thanks for the message
after sales care/returns/spares and 1 year guarantee as standard.
I used to run a ebay business in the past so up to date on customer rights it failed because I couldn't compete on price
im only building/making to order with a 3 - 4 week turn around time items can be collected or couriered at extra cost.
I dont have the funds to make them and hope they sell.
kind regards

if any one is interested inbox me your requirements, of example i can manufacture a very similar system such as this below for approx half the price and not made from plastic.
https://kitsukoi.co.uk/collections/s...25-drum-filter
or these bio chambers I can do them for same price but made from stainless steel . and you can choose your own inlets/outs

these are just examples of what I can do , happy to take deposits or payments up front . visits welcomed to my home address so you can see my drum filter.
kind regards

I laughed when I saw the rotation speed of the drum in the following video - I can't remember seeing any drum rotate faster than this, and I'm fairly sure it's not that fast as standard:

Nice job on your DIY RDF, by the way, although I'd encourage you to use it for a year or more before selling them to other people, just to be sure it performs without undue wear & tear (motor, drum seal, pump, control electrics, etc.). As I'm sure you're aware, a surprising chunk of the cost of many commercial RDFs is the control electronics, so that's one area your simpler design can save a few hundred quid, but it carries a burden of responsibility - one needs to thoroughly test that the control of an RDF is truly reliable, longterm, or customers run the risk of losing a larger investment in the fish themselves.
