    Heat or light???

i have been looking at having a small 1000 litre grow tank in the garage but trying to work out how to achieve both of the above? if trying to heat effectively a cover will be required but that then means no light.

how do you run an indoor grow tank and achieve both or is one less important than the other?

I don t have a cover on my QT grow tank. I have a day and night light above the tank. and I run the heat with a titanium heater in my easy pod. connected to a controller on the wall. the underneath of the tank and all sides where coltexed. to keep heat in the tank. in winter I have a heater in the shed set above the heat of the tank to counter act condensation.
I tried a cover but I don t like them. so got rid and went the way of the above mentioned

If you want to cover it use polycarbonate sheet. It still lets the light through.
