Frim, don’t worry about it mate, your pipes ain’t under any “pressure” on an open ended system.

I was beginning to think that Mr Big as after all it's only running out of an open tank and two open filters then being recirculated. There is probably more pressure in my pump fed main pond until it gets to the Eazy Pod.
I wasn't questioning your handy work BTW Mr Big I just wanted to know what was the right glue to get if I needed to solvent weld anything else together later on as it would be handy to have some around just in case I feel the need to make anything a bit more permanent.

I read loads of stuff on various forums about which glue is “best”, they all smell the same
Maybe there’s some minor chemical difference but all the joints on mine look exactly the same and I used a mixture of the expensive stuff and the bog standard polypipe gear from screwfix (mainly cause I ran out of the expensive stuff and had a few fittings left to fix).
Honestly, I can’t see the difference.
If you were installing a massive great chilled water AC system in an office block then ok, do it by the book, but your working on a couple of metres of fish pond pipe, I don’t think it’s that bigger deal mate.
Have a test by all means, glue some offcuts together and see if they “melt”
They will, trust me.
If you don’t fancy it, let me know and I’ll come over and do it for ya. You can make me a cuppa

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
