Glad to hear your ogon is on the mend.
Fingers crossed it keeps improving so it can go back into the pond.
I've got a benegoi that could do with some TLC in my grow-on/Qt but the tank is too full with other new fish at the mo

Still early days yet but at least I've actually seen it eating now. It was always the first up for food until a year or two ago and for some reason it stopped so I initially thought something had spooked it badly as we had best part of a year of building work going on and loads of dust flying around plus various other things going on that probably effected it?
Hope your benegoi pulls through ASAP so good luck with it. What about setting up a small tank and putting it in there along with another fish for company maybe?________________________________________________

Lol. The jokes are eggstra bad.
Tbh the benegoi has not been 100% since I got him.
I don't have a small tank I could put him up in. I used to have one, but I sold it a couple of years ago.
At best I could probably give some salt baths in a 1m long measuring tank. But I'm wondering if the stress of being repeatedly netted would outweigh any benefit the fish would get from the salt bath?

Not sure getting another tank will go down well
I already have a pond that's probably a bit too big for the garden and a grow on tank that's taking up a chunk of the garage.
I think I'll just have to wait until I can shift some out of the grow on into the pond. At least the water is warming up in the pond, so that should help the benegoi's immune system in the mean time.
Ive got a platinum ogon and a showa (from the forums grow and show competition) that er, arent really growing. So think they'll accompany Mr Benegoi into the grow on tank and enjoy a nice all inclusive holiday this autumn, and then return to to the pond next year. That's my current plan.

My current plan is get the QT system to 22 to 23 degrees, hold it there until we get a moving date then hopefully the water temperature in the pond will start ti catch up as it's been sitting between 15 and 18 recently, then move everything back into the pond, drain the QT system, move it to the new place, refill it and move all the fish into it. May have to do a temporary pond and put half in that while I do the proper pond. Still planning to keep the QT system running all year round unless it causes a mould issue in the new garage?

I really don't envy you having to move all that stuff. Just having to pack up the contents of your house and then unpack it again is bad enough.
But it sounds like you have a good plan of action.
Still, as you built your QT so quickly at least you've had years of use out of it before having to remove it

All those flexi rubber boots will make things much easier plus I think I will have to build the system 180 degrees to how it currently is
