DIY over flow / trickle in / out pump fed pond

Here's my DIY pond overflow for a PUMP fed pond .

I wanted to do a trickle in / out so made this contraption it works perfect

Cost about Ģ12.00 but i guess most peeps would have a few bits knocking about , basically its all 1.5 " solvent weld .

The pics should be self explanatory , the contraption just goes over the pond wall , the inlet pipe in the pond has to slightly lower than the outlet .

All you have to do is prime it once by sucking on the long black pipe in the picture which you remove after so its not stuck up .

Once its primed it just starts running when the inlet in the pond gets water going through it as your trickle in tops the pond up .

No more messing about doing water changes on a pump fed pond .

    Any questions just ask

No... the pipe work that goes over the wall has water permanently in it. if its not used for weeks as long as the fittings are air tight, it'll carry on working when next needed.

BUMP - can't figure how this works must do as people are using it, will it still work with less obtrusive smaller bore pipe ? (22mm overflow)
