Morning koinewbie, it’s been 6 years since you built and painted your pond, can you report on how the paint has held up, your pond looks great.
cheers

I was wondering the same thing. As I am going to be building a pond soon. I would like it fiberglassed but can't afford the £1200 for it. I don't want a liner because of creases and folds. So the only other 2 options are a box welded liner but from what I've heard they are very expensive also. Or paint which I think is the option I will go down. Do any paint manufacturers offer any kind of garuntee with it?

Hi mate and welcome. When I had my rebuild done I was going to pond paint my pond with P1 paint.
https://www.psealit.com/contents/en-...l-Coating.html
Ended up fiber glassing it. But that was what I was going to do it with.
Gurantee wise. They all say there is the best.
But they will always come back it's your fault.
Did you prep it right.
Did you apply it in right tempreture.
And so on.
At least if you get a firm to fiber glass. You can get a gurantee of them.
And most decent firms who glass it will come back if theres a problem

Pint always troubles me, well more so the rendering/brickwork underneath, no matter what you do you always seem to get hairline cracks in brickwork and render, movement in the base where it joins the blocks, just too much of a risk for me, i did look into it but thought for teh extra cost it was well worth the extra and have it insulated and fibreglassed

I know this is a old thread but wanted to add a neighbour of mine has a large pond that was painted with G4 over 20 years ago, it still holds water fine with no issues.
