Sealing the window
Had a quick look but can't find anything on the search bar
Am a day away or so from sealing my window in the pond , got all the sealant and spacers ready to go and this might sound like a truly stupid question but how is best to bead the sealant ie
1 think straight bead
Couple thin straight beads
Wave lines ?? Or is it pure and simple whack a load of sealant every where apply pressure and walk away for a couple days ?

have a look at CWD ponds youtube channel loads of window installs there.
I used one thick (deep) line so you get a good spread out and seal.
also warmed up the sealant in a bucket of warm water. so it flows out quickly and spreads well.
but the squishing on mine was helpled by the flange i made for the liner, to hold it in place.

Cheers dave , well that's turned things around in my head i thought especially on the liner ponds you would stick the liner in the recess then the window, but they seem to be running a thin bead and jist pressing liner to the window ??

That seems to be the consensus,
mine is glass suck to sleepers then liner stuck to glass but i made a plastic flange to clamp the liner in place like a sandwich.
i suppose the upside to sticking the liner to the glass is,
if you get a leak you can always scrape the liner away from the glass, pick the sealant off the liner and redo it.
plus it saves all the creases in the liner...
but i know what you mean the other way round, the glass would hold the liner in place with the weight of water on it...

She dose mate. She helped me move all the fish back over from pool to pond and every fish took about 10.mins by the time she watched though the window. Still the coping and a surround to do but it's fantastic like . Was having a lul in the hobby that's gone now it's a whole new ball game now just dreaming of a summers night with a whisky.
Freddyboys ochiba he gave ammia just seems to sit and stare out of the window haha
