Ashp connections advice needed
Hi all, I've just taken delivery of a ashp and I'm slightly confused about the water pipe connections so I'd like to ask the knowledgeable folk here for a little advice, the connectors supplied with the ashp are 50mm solvent weld and I'm running 2 inch solvent weld pipe from my water pump so what is the best solution to connect the water pipe to the ashp, would it be better to use a rubber boot adapter 2 inch to 1.5 inch or a solvent weld adapter 50mm to 2 inch or is there a better option that I'm just not seeing.
Thanks Andy
Edit ...so I think to summarise my question what is the best way to connect 50mm pressure pipe union to 2 inch pressure pipe

This a is a standard problem with a choice of two easy solutions.
I prefer solvent weld fittings and 2" to 50 mm solvent weld adaptors aren't expensive at any good swimming pool supplier or some koi dealers. (Specify that you want to connect 2" pipe direct to a 50 mm socket).
Or, as there is less than 3 mm difference in the outside diameters, an ordinary 2" rubber boot will fit over both. See the chart on this link:

Thankyou for the reply, the link attached is very helpful also,
... it makes much more sense to me now, so if I've understood this right then imp pressure pipe is referenced by inner dia and metric pressure pipe is referenced by outer dia, this definitely helps a lotLast edited by ABN67; 20-10-2024 at 11:50 AM.

Any off the shelf pipe that fits...
As martin said, if you just want to convert it to 110mm soil pipe you can get a 4" pressure to...
