    Greenhouse grow on

I'm (finally!) planning a small grow on in my relatively big greenhouse. I don't really want to go bigger than an IBC. I'd go BD > pump > pressure filter > bakki shower. I'd take about 10 small koi and grow them spring to autumn.
Anybody used a IBC in a greenhouse?, I'm a bit concerned about the swings in temp being quite extreme, even if I insulate.

We've had this question before, but I can't remember the thread , tried it some years ago appro 1000lt insulated but still did not work, temp could not be kept consistent. Could possibly work if inground?

Havnt had the experience of an ibc in a greenhouse but I would think it would be similar to a polytunnel and be cold in winter.
I do have an ibc in my garage, took it off the pallet and it sits on a couple of sheets of polycarb, then I wrapped loads of bubble wrap round it then clad in ship lap keeps the heat in well.
I use the valve outlet which is 2" to the pump.

Thanks John, a really useful insight. I'd not heat but try and grow between March - Sept. Just concerned about the daily temp fluctuations. Insulating is a good idea to help bugger this.
Out of interest what were your results like and how many fish did you go for?

Mine are small tosai from Adam Byer but getting big now,
There are 33 in there and at 19 deg with 400watt of heat.
It keeps its temp very well as the heater hardly comes on all day so happy with that.
    I do cover the top.
Filter is from the 2" valve outlet connected with a 2" rubber boot then to a home made vortex with k1 at the outlet, works same as a nexus then to pump to shower.
If only keeping a few in there you should be ok but these lot crap like hell

i have a 100g vat in my greenhouse with 5 grow ons in it, it has a boxfilter and a aquarium style heater (which is not ideal) the green house keeps the frost away but it still fluctuates vastly in temp. i am not feeding much atm either.
