Pond return
Gravity fed pond. Could I put my return into a large tank that is underground/ up to pond level and then connect it to the underwater pipe return to the pond. If I did this, could I add a pump from this tank to then pump into a shower?
The tank water should level with the pond water. Would the pumped water overflow the "holding tank" or would there be a risk of the extra pump to the shower emptying the tank? Presuming the pump flows were same rate and the tank was big enough to hold enough water?

Could you pump water from the tank back to pond?
That's what I do. I have a 2m tall tank between my filters and my pond and use an airlift in that tank to pump the water back to the pond.
Then if you wanted to also pump water from the tank to a shower, that would work well. As all the water is being drawn from the filters.

I see what you mean whereas the water level will rise everywhere so won't matter where the overflow...
