Thread: Grow on pond

Hi all, looking for advice on best filtration set up for an EZ500i pond. I bought all this 2nd hand (apart from The Surge, which I've not used before) . So, I have a Queni Koi 25 combi drum/filter, Elecro 3kw in line heater(may change that for ASHP) ,and an EA 10000 vario. What size air pump will I need? I want an air curtain and/or air ring in pond. Im not looking for big fish or huge numbers of stock. TIA

Hi , thank-you for the comments. Yes it is a lot of filtration but the deal was to good to turn down. Having had a 3k gallon pond previously I wanted something smaller(also we downsized house and garden). I will only get small number of high quality Tosai, the intention is to grow them to go in my daughters 3k gallon pond which will soon be built. Where would you suggest running a trickle feed into...drum or pond? We hope to power everything with solar tiles on our shed and pergola roof, an ASHP heater to stabilise temperature rather than heat excessively. The package came with an Elecro 3kw heater which I will sell and I also bought a Surge the day before I bought this set up (that will be sold as well.
