Hello,
Around 9 years ago I painted onto the outer wall Colordur Sealant to give the pond a wet look finish. It looked great for a number of years but as time has gone by and it has weathered it has bubbled in places and needs to be removed.
I have tried numerous methods and been able to peel it off easily from the top coping stones but I am struggling removing off the bricks. Some peels off but quite a lot stays on and it won’t come off with a wire brush. I tried a flame but this did nothing and also I used a Karcher jets spray which did remove quite abit but there is still sealant on the bricks that can be seen. The Karcher also packed in after an hour and is no longer of any use. I also think it may have knocked out a few small areas of cement.
I have not put anything onto the sealant as not sure what would work.
Does anyone have any suggestions please to remove the stubborn sealant that has got into the brick firmly.
