Gazebo pro's and cons
Hi all
got a meeting with pond builder next week and he's asking if i want a gazebo.
no trees in the vicinity as all chopped down and i believe new fish house will shelter pond from sun part of the day.
so what's your thoughts a yes or no.

I would say yes. I didn't do one, but will in the future. Not a necessity, but helps.
The fiter and UV will have less work to do as the pond will be shaded. It's easier to see the fish as there is less reflection. You also won't have to worry about heavy rain potentially impacting your water parameters.

Another one here in favour of a roof, helps keep the sun off, the rain out and offers some protection against herons from above, my thinking is they've less chance of spotting the pond if/ when they fly over. All down to personal preference though, my pond is a formal style partially enclosed with a solid roof, depends what look your after as we all like different things

I haven't got one,.but I need one for reasons mentioned plus to stop local seagulls and ducks landing in the pond
