Best place for 3" pressure pipe 3m lengths

Where's the best place to get a 3m length of 3" pressure pipe? Coastal only do 1.5m + 1.5m or 2m + 1m but they only have 1.5m + 1.5m in stock at the moment plus they are now away until mid October I think? Also they charge extra carriage for the 2m + 1m option.

Might try Grahams as it's not likely to be a screwfix or toolstation thing is it?

Might give pipestock a call to confirm they will sell me a full length as I've not got an account with them. I thought when I looked a few days ago they were showing only cut down lengths of pipe for delivery?

back in the day we used to tie 6 meter lengths of steel pipe to the roof rack of an escort 45 van,
rag on front end rag on back end to stop cars literally driving into the pipe...

used to tie 40 or 50 lengths of 1/2" to 2" pipe to the roof rack,
it was so heavy the guys had the weld the roof rack to the roof as the whole thing used to come off sometimes

these things were beasts, could get 400kgs of pipe on top and 6 men with all there tools in one of these things

Is that a MK2 difficult to see as the photo is a funny angle? We had the MK2 Escort vans when I first started in the mid 80's

Rear wheel drive, not much power and not much weight when empty made them fun to drive in the bad weather or quiet industrial estates that had empty round abouts on them

mk2 mate the local garage we used for our fleet, had and old Mk1 as a courtesy van to use when ours was in the shop...
they had a chrome grill and used to shake like all the bolts were coming out when you went over 70

when i was just a 1st year apprentice in the early 80's, the fitters drove those mk2 vans like bloody maniacs
you could literally take them sideways round an island....
but then the roads were near half empty, even at 'rush hour' back when rush hour meant driving abnormally fast to get home...

    The good old days lol

My Evo 9 that was running about 600 bhp would go sideways in the dry coming off round abouts when it came on boost the off camber of the road helped out a bit there

yeah, when we went sideways round an island in the van, it was 'cause bob lightly forgot it was there, and nearly killed us all...
80mph, scandi flick, then reverse lock sideways across two lanes, clipped the kerb, nearly rolled, and down the opposite sliproad without losing 1mph in speed, still doing 80...

that was nearly as bad as graham redhead when he took a hump backed canal bridge at 70mph and clearing about 4 car lengths with all four wheels of the ground like the dukes of hazard
wasn't so bad for me in the passenger seat bucked in...the lad lying down in the back of the van with no seats, hit the roof, the floor, then the roof again....
the suspension was shot with axles bent and wheels loooking like the cartoons boy racer cars when we landed with a bang!

I’m mid-build and JBR plastics had 3m 3” pressure pipe. Delivered it with all of my 4” and 1” no problem. Pleasure to deal with.

JBR Plastics Limited | Bottom Drains | Plastic Welding | Drainage Systems

I just phone him up and pay by PayPal. The guy in charge is named Jase and couldn’t be more helpful. Super keen on price too.

Just spoken to them and they've stopped sending 3m lengths just 2m + 1m or 1.5m + 1.5m now. The courier they used previously went bust apparently.

Just waiting on a price from them now.

I’ve used pipestock alot over the last 10 years for pressure and mdpe pipe and I found them very good, competitively priced with a good range of stock.

interesting and a pain in the **** they’re no longer shipping 3m lengths, I ordered some in July so it looks like I was lucky to get it delivered.

from memory setting up an account is easy via their website.

Looks like I'll have to wait until Coastal are back early next week as they seem to be the cheapest allowing for free P&P on over £45 orders plus their discount scheme once you've spent the first £200 with them on their new system.
