Just got the floor tiles to lay and paint the walls and ceiling then move on to painting the outside and finally laying the lawn, I will be so happy when it's no longer a building site

Thankyou I'm very pleased with the progress so far
It's starting to look less like a building site and more like the picture in my head now, it seems like I've been working on it forever but I think I'm finally on the last leg

Thankyou, i hope it lasts its taken me long enough to build lol. Weather's been dire so progress has been slow but ye it's finally looking less like a building site. Absolutely still going fibreglass but most likely will hire the pros, I did think long and hard about diy'ing the fibreglass as everything else is diy but I've come to the decision to get someone in to do it as I think the potential for disaster outweighs the extra cost

I don’t blame you for getting in a professional to do the job. I’ve never tried fibreglassing my self, but from what I’ve read it seems it can be a bit of a nightmare, and if you get it wrong it’s a big problem, and very costly.

I used to do a bit of fibreglassing at work and it’s ok to do but awful stink. Just the thought of a pond’s worth gives me a headache. I would also get someone in

That's my thinking aswell, I've dabbled a bit with fibreglass on small auto projects back when I was younger but the thought of a whole ponds worth potentially ending up wrong fills me with dread so for peace of mind and a guaranteed result I'm going to leave it to the pros

Still searching, I've found a couple of potentials, just need to get them over to do a quote but I'm working 12 hour shifts at moment so time is not on my side, hopefully get it sorted soon

Not updated for a while, been busy, happy with the progress so far, it's a slow build but it's getting there, it's looking a lot less like a building site now.
First thing was getting the electrics installed, while this was happening we (mrs and me) got on with finishing the inside of the filter house, painting and floor laid and a platform to raise the filter to the correct height.

Excuse the mess and clutter, it still needs a good clean and tidy before I can start the plumbing

Next we painted the outside and then brought in a load more soil ready to lay the lawn

So if all goes to plan get plumbing and pipework and ashp fitted end of October on my week holiday then wrap it up til next spring with just the windows and fibreglass to be done. Apart from a few bits of tidying, coping and minor stuff I should be ready to finally start adding fish at start of next summer
