Black g4 pond paint.
Hi Everyone. I've got some coping stones on my pond. And I bought some black g4 pond sealer just to seal the mortar, so when it rains it won't leach into the pond. The mortar is 6inch above the waterline. It says on the tin, if you are using black g4 to use clear g4 for the first 2 coats and two black coats after. Because the clear sticks better. Do you think I can get away with just using so many coats of black straight onto the mortar because it won't be under the water? Thank you

Whack it straight on. It'll be fine. Like you say, it's only to weather proof it. It's not under water.
