Thread: Will the be ok?

Hiya

I am about to fit a Draco Medius but the logistics with available people to help lift the old filter out and this one in means I will have leave the pond with no filter overnight and half the water, so its lower thatn the gravity outlet.

I have some net bags i was going to put the old media in and dangle in the the pond then just run a submersible pump until the new one is up and running.

I just wanted to check I hadn't missed anything and the fish will be ok

Wayne when i moved home my drum packed up whilst i was renting the property and i was in the process of getting the above ground swimming pool ready to ship them to my new house, so i switched everything off except for the air and stopped feeding them for the time about a week! no problem whats so every Koi are a lot more resilient they will treat them.. i am sure it will be fine lots of air and stop feeding a few days before? after all they survive a journey from Japan of 24 hours in a plastic bag ..

Thinking about it with the embarrassingly minimum of care my fish have received over the years they must be hard as nails - maybe nice water will be a shock to them

Hiya - no I have Hel-x.
I have some filter bags so I can dangle the old media in the pond for a while. Dunno if it will help but surely it can't hurt right?
