    Ball valve help

    Hello,

Does anyone know where I can buy a ball valve that will fit 32mm floplast waste pipe (which has a 36mm outer diameter)?

I brought a 32mm valve but it has arrived and doesnít fit because it would only work with pipe which has a 32mm outer diameter.

    Thanks

what are you using 32mm waste pipe on?
as it's a bit small diameter.....you might be better off with 40mm....

your going to struggle a little bit with that, as ball valves are generally meant for pressure pipe, and are 1.5" pressure
the one you bought is a metric 32mm not imperial inch.
kockney koi do ones for 40mm (43mm O.D.) waste pipe, just not as well made...
    1.5" & 2" - 3" Ball Valves

the only way i can think of doing it is...
buy a 1.5" pressure ball valve,
    2 x 1.5" x 40mm waste adaptor sleeves
    2 x 32mm x 40mm waste pipe solvent adaptors,
and bush the 1.5" ball valve down with the 1.5" pressure to 40mm waste adaptor, then the flowplast 40mm x 32mm waste pipe adaptor.

    Hi Dave,

Iíve made a DIY pre filter and I just wanted to put a small flush/waste in the bottom for occasional cleaning. I had some 32mm waste pipe spare and a tank connector as well so went and installed them thinking Iíd get a valve easily (shortsighted clearly!).

Since posting, Iíve managed to find someone selling a 36mm double union valve on ebay so Iíve ordered that and have got my fingers crossed.

Appreciate you taking the time to provide all the info above though!

    think i've found that listing...
it looks like he is either reaming out smaller valves to fit. ie 36mm valve has a bore of 25mm.

or making his own adaptors from reaming out pressure pipe, to fit pressure pipe valves.

handy to know someone is doing that, could help other people using waste pipe and want ball valves
he details the exact O.D. sizes and bore lower down in the listing...
