New Pond Build 21
Hi. Ive just joined this forum having built my first pond last year during lockdown. It was a raised sleeper pond 2.4x2.4x1.2m. I bought 10 small 3" koi and they all seem to be doing well even in these sub zero temperatures.
Done lots of reading on here and settled
on:
4.5 x 2 x 1.5 3000 gallon
Gravity system
insulated and fibreglassed
glass viewing window 1.6x0.8
Profidrum combi 30
Amalgam uv
1 BD
Skimmer
ESHP if I can afford.
Need to wait for warmer weather to transfer fish and dismantle existing pond.

Welcome to the forum Jack?
Sounds like you've been busy.
Maybe if you can say what area you are in someone might be local to you and could help you out?
We like plenty of photos on here BTW.
Have you checked out Fred's build thread yet? Lovely bloke bless him just a shame he was taken from us far too soon.

Not sure if I’m doing this right. I’m in Bradford. Pics of my pond and fish, old channel drainage to soak away taken up, row of paving slabs lifted ready for concrete to be removed to make connection to drain. Raised bed dismantled and moved. Sorry images are on their side. Perhaps someone could let me know how to rotate them?

Ive checked out a lot of builds on here and his name appeared a lot. Obviously a popular guy who will be sadly missed.

Bradford is a long way from me but I'm sure there are some members not far from you.
The way to go is put a list of your filter system etc. and that should help us give you better advice OK

FRIM It's "Up North" pal
I work in the area quite a bit so once lockdown is over and if you need anything can always give limited support/help/advice
Ideal time to move the fish would be as the temps rise and we expect no more heavy frosts . . . so that would be ???
but as you have started that will save time once the move/build can go ahead, saves marking time1000 gal

Does it have an inside toilet or just a shed at the bottom of the garden with a plank with a hole in and a bucket underneath?
