filters and pipework is the part i would normally look forward to the most,
but it's been such a task to get to this point,
i just want to see the end of it.

not much once winter has been round
even with decent insulation and ventilation you still get lots of condensation

finally finished the pipework round the pond outside,
i've still some more to finish off inside the filter house, but that can wait for now,
i want some water in the pond.... soon!

i'll be setting the frame for the glass tomorrow, and final levelling the bottom of the pond.
once the glass is in and the insulation ect is done, it won't be long until i have a drop of water in it.

Lovely neat job Dave credit to you mate, good plan with the grid on the bottom of the shower that's what I have on mine though I used pipe off cuts for the supports.
Hope you have the drum level right, remember when I did mine I had to lift it a bit.

How are the shower tier supports made Dave are they just rods going across?
    John

    thanks mate
can't be doing with shoddy pipework,
it would drive me crackers everytime i saw it else...curse of being a pipefitter lol!

i hope the drum level is right too....if not the pond will have to be lowered lol!
i used a laser to level the water line across to the drum.
so the drum will dictate the pond height. and the level switch has some small adjustment too.

the shower has polpropylene straps made from 15mm thick sheet with stainless steel bolts and cnc cut recesses for the straps to fit into.
and cnc cut recesses for each tier to slot into so they don't move around.
    seems plenty strong to me.
and much stronger than just a lip welded along the edge for each tier to sit on.
