As time was getting on glassing was all finished, glass installed, then time for split face slate finish to the outside all with mitred corners, looked superb.
Much debate was made on the capping, so in the end 30mm honed Bon Accord granite was in order with honed edges, a nice clean look I think.
Took ages to set in and level all the pieces..

Looking good.
You might need to watch out with herons though, those shelves would give them a very desirable fishing spot.2016 new 6000 gallon pond

Looks good. I was always told to put a couple of feet of water in the bottom not long after the fibreglass has set.
I certainly did with mine as have a very high water level round my pond.

Forgot all about this, had better putting up the last of the pictures.
Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
