You weren't very far from me there Jack.
OK sounds like a plan. You normally want to over spec your filters etc to allow for fish growth or extra fish for starters. You need your actual pond volume before you can even start to figure out minimum filter requirements.
Good luck with the block work.

Last couple of days spent digging up around the patio to run new mains water and power supply to proposed filter area. Slabs and concrete removed to allow for drain connection to be made to existing chamber and run back to filter area.

Spent the last two weeks researching drum filtration for my build. Think I’m going to go with an Profi Drum Combi 30. One bottom drain and one skimmer.13,200 litres.

Can't answer the drum question Jack or how many BDs you'll need for that size pond but a skimmer is a great idea and one you won't regret.
I fitted a skimmer last year and wished I'd done it years ago as the amount of muck it removed with it just running skimmer to pump and back to the pond while I was working out the best place for the return to goes was amazing.

Something is making me think the maximum a single BD will cover is about a 14ft diameter but I could be wrong?

Fish in their temporary home, old home dismantled and new pond area secured from the dogs. Will have to be dug out by hand unfortunately due to lack of access for mini digger. Won’t be rushing!

All we ever wanted was everything,
All we ever got was cold,
Get up, eat jelly, sandwich bars and barbed wire,
Squash every week into a day.

Start of the dig by hand. Wish I could get a digger down the side of my house

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
