That's really sad news. Fred was always the first to welcome a new member and to be complimentary about even the smallest project. Won't be the same without him.

Can the Forum do something to permanently dedicate on here to Freds memory???
There is no doubt he was absolutely dedicated to EKF and spent countless hours helping everyone. Personally I think it would be a very fitting tribute.
Come on Moderators....

Well put Gaz, brilliant idea. Fred would have done the same if the tables were reversed wouldn't he?

Hi Lee, You knew Fred in the flesh more than most of us as that is how I came to know both of you guys and there was Jim Hull.
Fred was an icon and if a statue was to be built it would be in remembrance to Fred, a guy who never said a bad word about anyone and was allways there for you.
Hope you are well Lee as you are sadly missed but wish you all the best in your future and see you when you return to the world of Koi.John

Stuffrat just told me and put me on my arse. What a man what a gent what a legend after meeting in person he is more than that. I have 3 of his fish in my pond that are of the ut most importance.. If any one is speaking to his family please let them know that we are all sorry for this massive loss and out Hearts go out to them. At newyears we were talking about meeting up for a cuppa again.. Big boys don't cry but men do and I've got tears here now. The forum will never be the same.. Love you bud..... Keep safe every one

Awful news. Never met him in the flesh but could tell he was a first class gent from all his posts and comments, whether on my threads or others. RIP Fred and thanks for your input along the way, it will be remembered.

Sad news, I've only been on the forum a year or so, but he was always about. Will be missed.

Wow absolutely shocked to hear this. Fred was so genuine and a great person on this forum ( Clearly in person too). I have only been on this forum for just over a year but in that time every single interaction I had with Fred was nothing more than helpful, polite and more often than not humorous too! He had an online charm that shone through all his post and you could tell he was an absolutely mad about his Koi. I am not ashamed to say it brings a tear to my eye having to write this and it's clear he had a lasting impression on all of us. This place will never be the same without you mate, rest in peace.
