Patio Sealer for around my pond

    Hi
My pond has a slate patio around it that needs sealing. Everything is sloped to run away from the pond but am trying to find a stone sealer that is safe if any did happen to make its way into the water. Any suggestions or is it as simple as finding a solvent free one?
    Thanks

It’s not easy to find a sealer suitable for slate- because it’s totally non porous and things don’t stick to it. But that also means you don’t need to seal it- because the surface is not prone to getting water ingress, moss etc.
Why were you wanting to seal it? Just to give it a ‘wet look’?

    Hi
Yes its just to make it look good really it covers most of the garden and pond is right in the middle of it so not really any way of leaving around the pond untreated.

G4 paint in clear would be safe once dry for the fish. The only thing is, it could be slippery in the wet.
You could also have issues with lack of porosity in the slate not allowing the G4 to be very long lasting.

Thanks for that link, not sure it's for slate, I read it as a wood treatment !

Bit misleading prices, quoting as Jerry-can with price of 1 lt

Bookmarked for next year treatment of my sleepers.

I emailed them and told them exactly what I need it for and they came back almost instantly with a yes, So unless anyone here tells me its pants I'll be ordering some to give it a try
