The Big Move
So I have moved house. Which means I need to relocate my fish. A new pond will be built in the future but until then I had to come up with a decent temporary setup.
Temporary pool built and a bottom drain installed. Installed in the corner for ease of plumbing and the pool leans towards this anyway.
This is what needs moving:

Old filter room starting to look clear:
All the gear, no idea:
Anoxic up and running:
Fish will be moved over tomorrow, as i have a net arriving,
Watch the Koi! will be live for only another day!
I am knackered, haven't even started filling in the old pond yet!

Noooo! What am I gonna do without my 'office pond'
I've had your cam up on my third monitor. ....it's been most entertaing - if a little distracting
Do please post when it's up and running again. Have really enjoyed having your fish on my desk!
PS Good luck with moving everyone. Hope all goes well.

Good luck with the move. Frantic times, particularly when you have koi to move. Mine have had to wait 4.5 years in a temporary setup. Firstly in one like you have posted for about 2.5 years, before buying a quarantine tank and putting it in the garage for now. Not long before they are moved again!
out of interest, why are you filling in the old pond, better selling prospects?

So the move happened today, not without 1 injury tho. We had a jumper. It was my new Doitsu Karashigoi, Pretty gutted. I could only count 12 fish and found it wedged between the bottom drain pipe and pallet. But it is still alive. Just makes me sad

Oh no, that's really sad. He may pull through OK though. It's incredible what they can recover from given a chance. I think your biggest battle will be the cooling temps. I'd recommend adding some Vitalize to the water. Really does seem to help healing. Have you managed to clean the wounds with iodine?

This story of recovery will hopefully boost your morale. Vitalize was a major part of the treatment, but so was heat and some antibiotics, but this was very serious injury.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
