Nice update dbs, you've certainly been busy and your finishing is top marks!
With the weep on the UV, have you isolated it and removed it and allowed it to dry before applying solvent weld? I would have thought if you removed it you should be able to put it at a suitable angle to get some solvent weld to bubble over the factory leak.
Just one more thing, you mentioned you changed your 4mm electrical feed to 2.5mm. I think in your photo's you said it was the cable to the right, which seems to then have a larger gauge cable running to the left? Are you sure that you've made sure this is all properly sized / protected? Not wanting to make any negative comments, because your build has been great (and great speed of progress), but it looks like you potentially have a single 2.5mm twin and earth cable supplying various connection boxes without any further fusing of downstream cables etc. Obviously I don't know what you have in the overall setup, but I can't help but think that this might need a little attention (for your own safety) if you haven't had it checked out already.
Well done though, it's looking lovely.

Thanks Bazza

The big cable coming in from the left is the armoured coming in, that is fed form a new consumer unit in the garage that supplies the Quarantine room, Shed, garage and pond all on separate RCBO's, there is a rotary isolator on the line too so that I can isolate easily when needed.
The 2 no. 2.5mm cables (that were 2 no. 4mm) supply 2 separate Matsuko 5 way pond timer/control units, I have one each end of the area, each unit has separately fused outlets for 5 items, despite the shoddy power inlet that is now sound I am quite impressed with the actual use of them, I haven't set up any of the timers yet but the digital display was an ease to set up/add the kit...
The 1.5 cable for the lights and the 3rd 2.5mm for the waterproof sockets will be via fused spurs coming out of the junction box before going to the relative lights/sockets.
Hopefully I have done things okay, but I have got an electrician over to check it all next week when he brings me my 2nd light that matches the one I nabbed out of his van last week when I saw him
Well done though, it's looking lovely.

Wow this is looking fantastic, I love that back wall! Great job I’m very envious.
What is the final volume?
How comes you had to take the plunge to weld in the bottom drains?

Thank you Mike, very nice of you to say
What is the final volume?
Anyway, internal measures should have the pond at 27,000 Ltrs (6,000 Gallons) + Pipework and filters, which I will work out one day

QUESTION - Waiting for the new media to start sinking in the Large Bio (and soaking in several large chugs) so I can add the starter Gel, is there any way to speed this up ??
I have the Nexus that was running the old pond and now the skimmer line running nicely on the skimmer line, but worried with no fish in the bacteria will die off soon, should I add something to the pond to give it something to munch on ??

Well it has been a great weekend, the last few evenings has been dedicated to finishing the electrical works, and getting the large bio up and running correctly...
Yesterday (Saturday)
I drained the large bio to strip down the valve that was leaking, extend the temporary waste pipe to to the drain and make use of the work on it to lower the pond level a tad.
I got this done quite quickly and whilst it was draining I started the affix the wall plate down with concrete screws, affix the cover skirt to the front and add the coverboard that I have decided to use as a wall capping that will also be a cover for the end of the polycarbonate roof.
I made the decision to move the fish into the new pond after lunch so it was a very busy afternoon, old pump set up to pump the paddling pool water into the new pond.
I was pumping into the new pond and still draining out from the bio to keep the level okay and this worked very well, although the pump started sucking a lot of crap from the bottom of the paddling pool I left it doing it to give the new pond filters something to munch on... I kept a good eye on the water parameters with the new Seneye I added to the pond a couple of evenings ago, and I noticed the ammonia level shoot up from 0.004 to 0.1 so I stopped the transfer of the water immediately ...
The pond was a tad murky but still very clear, this again was good as that then got the drum working away nicely, it was cleaning every 9 minutes but by this morning the water is crystal again and the drum is currently washing every 59 minutes.
I managed to start the transfer the fish into the pond when it started to get dark and that did take a while... chasing fish around a round pool was sooooo frustrating
Anyway, fish in and MY GOD what a change to see them from the side through the glass, the whole family have been mesmerised with them every since, I am Soooooooooo glad I put 3 windows in
Sorry - working on laptop again and the bloody photos are not uploading from phone to onedrive again with the auto uploader Grrrrrrr

Today (Sunday)
I got up normal time and headed off to collect 3 fish I purchased from James and his pond closure, such a very nice guy, him and his wife bagged them up for me with the bags and crates I took and we had a quick 1hr trip back home again...
I decided yesterday after chatting with James that I was not going to quarantine them as my quarantine tank is way too small for the 3 I have purchased, that and the fact I had drained the paddling pool, I was keen not to put the new fish into it too and suffer the drastic temperature changes/swings that are now starting to occur... so in they went.
They settled in brilliantly and very quickly, amazingly finding each other and swimming together, but after an hour they were mixing in well and even popped up for some food... well chuffed
This afternoon I have been very busy again, designing the ends of the kit shed thingy making sure I can lean around and reach things, get as high as possible under the feature wall and giggled with the roof pitch to still give accessibility past kit with only a bit of crouching... both outside frames are now secured to the floor and bottom wall giving me the basics to work from...
I also got the paddling pool down, cleared all that away and had a very big tidy up, so things are starting to open up again the the garden and not so much a building site.
Again my wife, daughter and grandson have been magnetised to the pond all day which is GREAT to see, I have opened up a section of the marquee where the big window which also opens things up a tad.
The fish have settled in brilliantly, they seem to love the large aeriated bottom drains and also are fascinated with the windows, they all appear very happy indeed and are loving the large volume of water to swim about in at last.
