One for the bricky's
How many rows of flat 7n blocks can be laid in a day?
I'm hearing mixed messages from people I've spoken too. The reason I ask is the builder initially said my pond would be built over 2 days.
It's 1.3m high so approx 12 rows now he has another bricky and a labourer, so wants to do it in a day. I've heard that the mortar will squeeze out of the lower blocks...
I'm clueless
Cheers

Cheers I think the 3 off them can do it in one day, but I'm concerned if 12 rows can be laid in one day? As above I've been told the mortar can get pushed out of the lower layers.

I goes off fairly quickly so wouldn’t think it would be an issue, just takes a time to harden off.

It will be no problem at all in dry conditions.Blocks laid flat dont buckle or sink.

Most of those sort of blocks are fairly absorbent so will draw moisture from the cement fairly quickly specially if it's a warm dry day I would think. Being such a large surface area they will float on the cement a bit as well so will be easy to line up and level up etc so by the time the first couple of rows have been laid the first few blocks should be fairly well stuck I would think. You quite often see brickies building the bottom row or two then going and doing the corners so the next rows are easier to get right.

Some going is that if that's anything to go by, 2 bricky's and a labourer will easily do 340 blocks. He says he has another job on after me tomorrow!
