Yea dbs, glad I raised the BD up and concreted the bottom of the pond. Just waiting for me boys to sort the creases now.

Just received 4 tubes of MS290 for about £30 inc postage to do the creases, A lot cheaper than £18 a tube of gold label. Once done I should be able to top it right up then.

Also got to pick up a 7ft diameter x 2ft 6" deep growing on tank Saturday. Looking forward to getting that set up for my new tosai that are in the IBC tank at the moment.

Sounds great steve, I like that you are sticking down the folds that should bake a lot of difference to water quality mate

Yea dbs. I'll make sure the folds are sealed from the bottom to above the water line, that way it should stop all the crap getting behind the folds mate.

The rain hammered down again today for a couple of hours, ain't done me no favours.

No new pics yet mate. Still waiting for me boys to sort the liner out when they can. The water table is causing problems again, due to all this rain I can't get rid of all the water in the pond to finish the liner. Every time I pump it out It's back with in 1/2 hour. But I'll keep pumping it out each day until the water table drops, then I can get the liner finished hopefully. It's dragging on now, I was hoping to have the fish back in there by now.

At last, we are getting there now. The story so far . Had a guy in to fit the liner properly who was a joke, he stuck all the corners and creases before he put any water in the pond, and as soon as he started to fill the pond all the creases opened up, so I got rid of him. It was my own fault I should have kept an eye on him, but being recommended by a koi dealer I assumed he knew what he was doing. So in the end my son-in-law said he'll have a go, so I thought it can't be any worse than the so called professional. And it isn't turning out to bad, he's doing quite a good job for a metal worker . He's taken off as much of the f***ed up SM 290 sealant as he could, and re-stuck down as many creases as he can doing it under water for now. He's going to do the rest once the pond is full. Can't wait to get this topped up now so I can finish off the filter bay. but at least things are moving on now.

I've sorted the returns out, I'll let it fill another 4" and I'll get the skimmer cut in at the end of pond at the right hand side (2nd pic).

Cheers Dave, yeah It's good to see water in the pond after so long mate. Still be a little while before the fish go in though. I'll get the skimmer cut in today and get some air in the pond to give the water a bit of movement to pull the cold water up to the top to get a bit of heat in it, It's f***ing freezing lol.

Professionals, the geezer didn't have a scooby Dave, as you say mate your better off doing it your self, he came recommended as well from a big koi dealer.

I'll pop over and catch up with your build today mate .

i've not managed to get a lot done this week at all, i've really struggled with the heat.
i can't even think straight atm, so gave it a rest rather than make poor choices...

Got the skimmer sorted today and got the air on in the pond. I'm just waiting for the skimmer front grid to turn up tomorrow and I'll change that over, and then top up to the max.

i've been looking to get black granite, but most places out of stock atm...
probably going to use idealseal auto marine PU sealant to stick mine down,
    either that or MS290 sealant

    Thanks dbs.

I'll start on the filters tomorrow, and then the electrics, once there done and everything's up and running I'll start adding the fish 3 or 4 at a time over the next few weeks depending on water parameters. Hopefully it won't be to long before all the main pond fish are back in there new home. Then I can start on the grow on for the tosia I've bought this year.

Thinking along the same lines Dave, but not sure yet, might just use decking like the old pond.

Ordered skimmer grid from Cotswold Koi yesterday at about 3pm and got it today at 2pm, excellent service imo.

Just fitted it, and topping the pond up now.
