Cheers Fred. The weather is s**t today, peeing down so holding things up. It was OK earlier while I was drilling the holes for the returns, and then the heavens opened . Can't wait for a bit of better weather so I can crack on.

Rain stopped play again today, but at least I got the returns in. I managed to get 1 return slightly lower than the other 1 by drilling at an angle and and bending the return pipe with a bit of heat before going through the sleeper. Got a couple more sleepers up, and ran out of screws. Be going to screw-fix tomorrow to re-stock up on screws to carry on, hope the weather breaks so I can get things on the move again.

Nice one Steve, not the easiest thing to drill through when wet, here's hoping for better weather for all of us, though that looks very unlikely for the coming week

Cheers dbs, I couldn't be bothered to use a hole cutter as you have to keep stopping and chisel out bit by bit, so I used an expanding bit, much quicker. Still took a while to go though 190mm through. Need to pressure test the returns asap to make sure there's no leaks now.
Yeah your right mate, the wet weather looks like It's here for a while, well at least a week.

Cheers Fred, yeah not bad for a retired plumber . The weathers stopped play again today mate. But on a good note I've stripped down and cleaned me TMC 110 UV and replaced the quartz sleeves, O rings and bulbs, so that's another job out the way.

I can just picture me walking in the conservatory. With a sleeper. And a pot of paint. And our lasses face. And booming voice. Steve's koi new pond build.Steve's koi new pond build.Steve's koi new pond build.

It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't already have 2 birds, 1 goldfish, loads of carnivorous plants, and loads of tropical plants in there as well lol.

Yeah getting there now Fred. I think the hardest part now is trying to get the pond dry so I can get the underlay and liner in.
I'll be lost without me boys, specially me youngest as he's still at home, he helps me out no end.
