I want to get specific colours though.
I’d like a completely jet black butterfly koi
And a completely white butterfly koi
Then I’d like to view a few different coloured ones and pick some which a lot of these places just have a “assorted mix butterfly koi”

Have a look on cascades site, Purachina butterfly koi ( think its spelt right ) white..' £199.00
and Aquatics to your door have single coloured butterfly koi, so maybe worth having a look on line or give them a ring and
ask if they can source what you are after, look before you buy type of thing ...

I’m thinking of skipping the frame and using the spare cash to go for a 3m window instead.
I’m thinking aswel that the window being inside the pond is a bit less likely to be hit by any kids playing than a window on the outside.
My back feels like it’s snapped from digging atm though. Think I slipped a disc so I can’t even move off the sofa. Will have to wait a couple of days until I can make a replica out of timber to ensure it fits round my tight corners in my house

Well grab lorry took the first half of dirt today.
He overloaded it and took 18 tonnes....
Can’t believe I’ve dug that much soil out of the ground with a spade...
Easily got another 15 tonnes left tomorrow

I'd certainly save your cash and go frameless, that window will be huge!!
Well done on digging that log out by hand!

Yeah I miscalced the cost of frame when you asked. The glass works our like 900 and the frame 1100

How thick does a concrete slab for the base really need to be?
I have so far worked with an estimate of 20cm but if I can get away with less that be better for me

Also looking for peoples opinions
I’m thinking of enclosing all 3 sides of my pond with a tiled wall. Only the front 5m side of the pond with a 3m long window will be open.
Does this sound like a stupid idea? Wife came and took a recking ball to my designs today

Baring in mind my garden is quite small the back 5m wall of my pond is the boundary with a garden fence anyway, the right side of my pond is a garden fence
And the left side will be the shed wall housing the filter

Steve,
Remember at some point you will want to put a net in your pond and catch some fish! Saying that my pond backs directly on to an 8 foot brick wall so it is long and thin, about 2 feet at the narrowest and 8 feet at the widest (and deepest) part and 28 feet long.

Yeah that’s the same as mine. 5m long 1.6m wide so reaching with a net shouldnt be an issue

Anyone know where I can buy cheap rebar?
I need L bars and straight 3mm 10mm dia bars.
I found https://www.reinforcementproductsonline.co.uk/
But when I go to order it says no delivery quotes to your area right now. And I can’t get them to answer the phone.
They are selling rebar for less than 2 quid a bar...
Other places online are over 10 quid a bar.
The difference is 300 quid to 1000 quid for everything I need elsewhere

Pressure pipe , bought from JBR plastics .
Expensive but fit in and forget. Not worth using anything else.
