Gents i was thinking it may be a better idea to cover everything up tightly for the next few days, maybe even consider monday to do the glassing. My worry is these predicted storms will be very strong and all that hard work may go to waste.
Was watching britains wildest weather on All4 yesterday and it feels like all the ingredients are in place for some serious storms especially with the consistency of heat that we have been having.......just my 2 pence

I think you may well be right. They had some ferocious rain in parts of Wales yesterday. With the high heat and humidity there's just bound to be some proper storms heading our way.

Spot on service, I put the order in which was accepted and I paid.
Got an email later saying my local stockist does not have the £10 boards in stock do they sent me £17 boards
Not that I was bothered, as I only wanted it for a smooth surface for the fibreglass to go on, pond will be unheated so I suppose it may help in the winter months.

That sounds a great size structure Steve, is it a cabin of some description or something building yourself ?? (Missed this post somehow )
Also, how many blocks did you use in the end, did you need the 500 ??
What did your internal dimensions end up in the end too ?/ as I changed my original dimensions which were 6.5 x 2.5 x 1.6 to my internal dims, so now the footprint is surprisingly bigger than I first thought !!Last edited by dbs; 12-08-2020 at 03:09 PM.

Will be something I'll be building myself. Will be a timber structure clad on the outside to match the cladding on the pond. Trying to think of something cheap that will last for the back of the structure as it won't be seen will back onto the fence but still needs to be weather proof. Think in the end it used around 450 bricks. Once the insulation was added internal dimensions were 1.9 x 5 x 1.45
