Areated bottom drain.
Hi there. Does anyone else have this issue with areated bottom drain go in to a twister? Lol . Thats all mine seems to be doing now. At first i had a nice amount of evenly portioned bubbles, now it mostly goes up in a tight twister formation.

Hi Hezza,
I think on another thread people have had the same issue and identified that the pump was putting too much air through the aerator.
Do you have an adjustable valve you can use to reduce it and see if it makes a difference.
Mine does this a little bit as well but not got round to trying that myself yet.
Cheers
Ady

Hi dude. I didnt at first, but i added one once it started happening lol. If i crank it down, it stops then starts again *♂️ Id much rather a full spread of bubbles fizzing on the surface than a whirl wind that sound like a fart in the bath when it hits the surface lol

It’s to do with the earths gravitational field and the location of your inlets Shirley?
You’re sucking water down a big plug hole so it stands to reason you might get a bit of swirly action?
Maybe lol
Mine does it as well

There is nothing in the construction i can see that would intentionally make it spin. Its just a rubber membrane with air pushed through it.

Spindrifter air does move round. Mine does.
Mine moves all the time with circulation of water plus the winds.
Or it could be said gravity.
They definitely move.
