The second photo, looks like a random protester holding up his placard in the distance but then I enlarged
it and can see it must be your son hanging out his washing..................
Looking very nice and tidy though................

So a little update, so much still to finish and I’ve gone proper cant be arsed lazy.... but some progress with a decked seating area, fernery, start of the Japenesee style garden, but filter Bay Area still needs loads of work, along with the ASHP as the next project. very relaxing just sitting on the decking and just watching the koi, who other than a white-spot outbreak are loving it.
I’ve also decided on a mud pond at the bottom left of the garden. I suddenly thought I have 3 things, space-clay-endless water! No need for a liner as I have constant water from somewhere, at least a wheelie bin full a day even in summer, so mud pond it is! in winter the whole bottom of the garden generally floods so it can all be channeled easy. Simple as a hole with the spoil lobbed into the farmers field, it’s going to be done in a day.
few pics of progress!

So bit of a milestone, pond was filled on the 5th of August and filter started from scratch. After 10 weeks of battling with NPS and particulary Nitrite for the last month, today for the second day running readings as follows:
Water temp. 18-20 degrees
Nitrite. Zero
Ammonia. Zero
PH. 8
KH. 8
Nitrate. 0.5
Feeding still minimal but the fish are growing at an alarming rate .Fibreglassed/5000 gals/4.5 m Tunnel/Spindrifter/Twin drums/Bio chambers/Beads/Showers/Remora ASHP
