    Pipe/filter insulation

Heat exchanger is going in on Saturday so I need to look at insulation for 4, 2 and 1 1/2 inch pipework along with the drum, bead, moving bed and shower.

I think I will leave the shower and just cover/insulate that in the winter when the covers are on but the rest it makes sense to do it now.

Do I just go for the foil based stuff as all the pipework is outdoor and cut, wrap and tape. I have also seen quilted foil but I assume that is no good for outdoor.

    Thanks

Wouldn’t the foam potentially get wet and then freeze/cool the pipe?

I think its closed cell foam so it shouldn't take on any water
