    Glass suction lifters

    Hi,

I need to install the window into the pond. Can anyone recommend any of those glass suction devices. Don't fancy it detaching during install.

    Thanks.

I used the orange ones from screwfix.
Still in garage if anyone local (GU17) wants to borrow them in the future.

I also have 2 of the triple sucker ones if anyone needs a pair. I'm based in Essex, RM postcode.

When lifting glass, I'd definitely not rely solely on the suckers when shifting heavy panes of glass. I found the suckers more useful to tie a rope onto to hold the pane in place after I'd installed it and was waiting for the sealant to cure.

Overwhelmed by the help I get on this forum. Thanks a lot and for the offers of assistance. Will check out Screwfix.

Also noted on the not sole lifting and agree.

    Thanks.

    I have 4 x 4 suction cups in DE65

Silverline, they worked okay, I had to clean the suction cups with alcohol to get the coating off them and after that they never moved once

I lifted the glass without the suction cups and only used them for final position and fixing into place, my glass was 32mm thick 2100mm x 710mm

cheap orange screw fix ones worked well, me and my helper had two each, once on the move did not want to stop and reposition the thing mid carry up the garden.

clean the glass before fixing the lifters and make sure the suckers are clean,

Get yourself some isopropyl alcohol for cleaning, it will clean the glass of anything that will stop the sealant from sticking and it will also be okay to clean the suckers with
