Bermuda WiFi variable 20,000 pump
A friend of mine has been looking for a new pump and he come across this...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/254222700713
It suggest that this runs max at 75watts it looks Similar to the other variflow pumps in the market that run at much higher watts for the same speed it also comes with a 2 year guarantee.. seems good on the face of things but I cannot find any reviews out there.
Anyone used one of these??

Only that it is not really for pond use, more for a little patio pond. Bermuda is now under EA’s wing so speaking from personal experience and what I’ve read elsewhere, let’s just say they are not known for excellent customer service.

I put up an enquiry about these a few weeks back.
There is very little information available online.
The 75 watts seems to low to be the maximum use??
I emailed bermuda and got no response.
Hopefully someone has one and can reply.

Bermuda WiFi variable 20,000 pump
Thanks for the replies, he went ahead and brought one after the retailer confirmed the watts.
I’m pretty sure they will just be confirming what the manufacturer has quoted on the specs.
I will feedback the results once it’s been tested.
But I’m sceptical

I suspect you need to download the app onto your phone.. so that will be out of date quickly!
Also water and WiFi aren’t great together, so I expect the WiFi to be in the controller box - now if that worked with raspberry pi etc then it would be quite good.
I’ll not mention WiFi and security

Seems good price for what you get, but confusingly, the pic of phone app is showing 80 watts at 95% running power

As were mentioned above - water and WiFi aren’t great together. I had the problem with the WiFi signal, so I bought a signal booster at myamplifiers. And yes, you need to download a special app on your smartphone. I am extremely satisfied!

It’s not like the WiFi is in the water, if the controller is mounted above the pond then i cannot see it being an issue. More of an issue being that it’s outside the house in most cases.
The pump does use far more than is stipulated as suspected. From what I remember 75 w as at 50% then quickly went up to around 160w at max if anyone is interested I can find out exact numbers

Popped round mates and got some real time figures.
I did not get the range below 50% but I assumed most would run at least 50%
162w @100%
116w @80%
96w @ 70%
64w @ 50%

Just wanted to thank you for pointing me to this pump. Have just installed mine and it is excellent. Replaced a 10klph jebao and is much quieter. I love the programmable feature so you can adjust flow rates at different times of the day/year. My only concern is how easy it would be to accidentally turn it off if kids were messing with my phone.
Cheers again,
Tim
