Got another section done. Each section is an inch wider than the stainless grate I bought cheap to act as rebar (ish). And each section takes two 6 bucket mixes (to half a bag cement). Which works out well.

Once I've got the last two posts in either side of the window I'll do another strip next to the pond and then probably just lay concrete in the middle too in a larger square. I may eventually slab over all of it when funds allow, but that's a lot further down the road.
I have a fire pit to go in the middle and the Mrs fancies some pallet furniture to go round it. Basically copying something we saw in Ibiza which looked quite smart for not a lot of money.

Ahhh cool, I like the sound of that, re-purposed Pallet stuff is very effective, a coat of varnish and it lasts well too, nice plan, I look forward to seeing that!!

Got the rest of the front posts in. Doing the four at the rear is going to be a b@stard. Very little room to maneuver.

Well, luckily I didn't fall in.
This wasn't so lucky though. The first post needed to go right where a pipe was and the concrete footings of one of the concrete posts that make the retaining wall. I packed some hardcore down really well either side of the pipe and used some mesh to give the pipe some extra protection. Then all the other post holes went much easier. Which is the best way!
...but I did loose my damn tape measure almost immediately. No idea where that went?
Just need to chop the posts down,.once they've set. Feels.like.a good job, well done,.as I was dreading this bit.

I think it's inevitable that I'm going to get some whopping drip marks in this, but you can't beat yourself up about these things.
