Looks great DJ. Bloody fickle business building these ponds isn’t it! Worth it in the end though as it looks great.

Nice pond mate. You’re probably not too far away from me either. I’m in Hereford and you don’t see many on this forum too close to us.

Champion pond, well worth reading all 185 posts.
Don't stop to count the cost , it will take the sparkle off all your achievments.
Please keep the thread going to the end result, some really good threads come to a frustrating sudden stop.

Thanks Fred, it’s not hugely clear but the first fish is a goshiki that caught my eye I. A tank full of them. The Kohaku is from Satsuma and is the most expensive fish I’ve ever bought, spent all day watching to make sure she was ok, even tucked her in at night

Nice one mate. Looks like you have a good eye. For picking a nice fish. As I said I love the ochiba. But I still love the others. It's just that I love ochibas and chags. I bought
Two of gaz. At Aurora. If they develop half as good as your ochiba mate. I will be tucking them in to bed at night. As well.
Enjoy them.

A bit more done today, the last gap that looks like I missed a panel is where a shower and protein skimmer will go next year. The rest of the pond will have a jump guard which I might start on tomorrow

Little bit more progress over the weekend. Mrs S has me building a greenhouse so duty done I got my jump guards up. In return Mrs S will be painting the render at some stage, also a small wall done to tidy the back up ready for plants and gravel at some stage.

Looking good. I assume that's Perspex since it's curved? Do you mind me asking where you got the wall fixings for the guards?

That looks ace mate, great job. What size and thickness are your jumpguards and who supplied them?

Jump guards are polycarbonate sheet, bought made to measure from Simply Plastics, I went for 6mm so it’d take the curves although ha big fine it I could probably got away with 8mm. Used this supplier as they could do quite long lengths which makes life easier and I think looks better.
Fixings were from EBay, 316 stainless so should resist rust better

Really like the jump guards. Have been trying to find the fixings on e Bay. What do you search from them under. Thanks

The eBay seller was called practically-everything-stainless he did a deal on the 20 I needed and I wanted the 316 stainless because of the better rust resistance. They are used for glass balustrades around swimming pools so search glass balustrade and you should get a good selection
