Filter house almost finished, whats left:
    - few hours to close the roof
    - external paiting - wood black oil, 2 layers
    - connect electricity
    - connect tap water

    20200419_135132.jpg

Lights already installed inside, work great - better than in my house, lol.

First fitting of BIG BOY. Should be without any problems.

Next Saturday professional team will put GRP laminate inside bio chamber. I was going to use EPDM, but the company which makes this is bussy at the momment. Secondly, I think it will be better to use GPR - over 20 inlets inside this bio. I was thinking of doinig it by myslef, but have never done it before so I have left this to pros. I am also extremly low on time nowadays - especially to learn smth new. Also do not want to make some major mistakes.

If everything goes well, I should start the pond within next 2 weeks. At least partialy.

I think you will be happier with GRP over EDPM, sometime things just work out for the best, looking good

Bio chamber after GRP made by pro team (25 yrs of experience in this regard) - BTW I am very happy with the final result, it could not be better

    20200426_193355.jpg

I have also put plate cover around the pond - it is made for preventing mower cutting EPDM liner when touching its edges.

    Big update!

    Finaly almost everything is ready.

Water is crystall clear. Fish are happy.

6x airlifts are transferring about 100 m3/h - all measured. Power consmuption is about 150-180 watts for all airlifts.

2x 105W UV amalgam. Now it is running only 6hrs/day and it is ok to keep water clean.

Bio chamber is driven by two air pumps - 120 + 70 l/min. Maybe a little bit to much, but like how it looks in opeartion.

I have also installed auto water refill, termometer and electric fence around the pond - had grey heron attacks, already took 12 kois . With electric fence no attacks.

Whats left is soundproofing all the air pumps. They are barely audible from the pond but still.

Looks amazing Slick, well done to you.

What size air pumps are you using on your airlifts? I need to sort mine in coming weeks.

For airlifts I use JEBAO PA-60. It is about 45 l/m of air in 2m depth. Power consumption is about 25-30 watts.

I tried also SECOH JDK-30 - as reccomended on other forum - and SECOH JDK-40. But they were not enough to get 100 m3/h of water using all airlifts. Probably beacuse I have not standard airlifts - almost 8m to pond and 2x 45 bend in the begining of airlift. It causes a lot of lose in water flow. But 150-180 watts for 100 m3/h is also a good yeld for me.

In the BIO chamber I put 1m3 of HELL-X media. Think his should be more than enough for 50-55 kois.

About all BDs beining in the center of the pond. It turned out not a problem at all. All the poops are moving slowly towards center - partly because of the slope used, BD aeration and fish making some noise in the water.

But from time to time I use 20 m3/h pump with angled pond return - after 2hrs it makes vortex type movmenet and literally all the bottom area is 100% clear of poops.

fantastic slick - what depth is the pond ? looks superb, how long have you had the pond up and running for ? what are your water parameters? assume your going through NPS... well done on an amazing build.... Steve.

Depth is about 2.3m at the very center, 1.9 by the walls.

I have not done any tests yet - to little time - but will do shortly.

Pond (100% of water fill) with airlift has been running for about 3 months now. But with HELL-X in BIO only for 1,5 month.
