I think I paid double that for my 3 x 10" filter but that had pressure valves and a square box section frame.
Oh yes, a 3 leaks, 1 from each canister where the rubber seals were a couple of mm too big.
For that money if the flow rate is even 10 lpm I'd go for 2 and connect them in parallel.

I would use 25mm poly pipe as the 20mm I used had a tiny ID by the time I fitted the inserts at each fitting. Would have been better off using 15mm JG Speed fit or maybe 22mm. I think the 22mm JG would give a better flow unless you need to put inserts in that of course? I know you don't need inserts for the 15mm JG.

I use pneumatic push fit air pipe, its rated at 10bar and its free from work, I have 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 14mm
The smaller pipe has a 1mm wall thickness and the bigger stuff has 2mm, so its pretty rock solid stuff

My 10 inch canisters where double that as well. And I don t even use them now.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
