picture of the month november
Right im doing another picture of the month comp for november, this comp will be of peoples ponds at night time and must be of your own pond.
please only put one picture up of your pond.

Come on people, I would have thought this was one everyone could enter.
A couple of hints for those who think they can't use a camera
The key to night shots is stability and exposure time.
Ideally use a tripod, if you haven't got one then rest the camera on a suitable surface.
If you have a shutter release then use it, if not then use the cameras self-timer.
Use the BULB setting if you have one. NIGHTIME or LANDSCAPE for non slr/dslr
ISO set to 100, may need a higher setting if using a non slr/dslr camera, the higher the ISO the noisier the picture will be.
Turn the flash off if you can or cover it up if you can't.
You need an exposure time of anything between 5 and 25 seconds depending on how much lighting is around.
Take a few shots and play with the settings, it's easy to bin the ones that don't turn out.
Now come on, get clicking
