    Morning all,
have got a couple of koi but I can't be certain what type they might be
I definitely think they have some Asagi similarities but interested to know what others think
    Thanks

I'd say first one is an aka matsuba and the second one an asagi.

Although they are possibly blends of other types too, making them hard to say with any certain.

Interesting. I don't think it fits into any particular bracket and non-metallic so Kawarigoi I'd say.

Aka bekko with heavy Kage if you have a Japanese pen pal, I suppose.

Which is basically red/orange with black splodges and black edge to the scales.

The pattern on the head on the bottom one strongly suggests some sort of ghostie in its genes I would think. Are they home pond spawns?

I can't be sure where they came from, but there's a small possibility they are home spawned.
There are a few other aka matsuba in the pond, so it could be these just have a bit of blue-ish on their head which makes them a difficult to define
