Rescued some Koi. Id help please?
I rescued some Koi today at short notice from someone draining their pond. I didn't get time to take nice photos as it was in a rush, but i got a small yellow and white (I assume Hariwake) , a 14" Doitsu Aka Bekko (orange speckled)
A solid white fish, which I will take a closer look at to decide if its Shiro Muji? (white non metallic) or if metallic a Platinum Ogon
But I am struggling with the fish on the bottom of the photo. Its White and black speckled head with a black scaled back and white flanks and belly. The speckles on the head seem to rule out Shiro Bekko, in a few descriptions I've found so I'm clueless on that one?
I also pulled a solitary golden orfe and a musk turtle out of the murky puddle they were in!

Yep they are in there own IBC at the moment. Luckily I had filled it up two weeks ago ready to move my fish whilst I build the big pond. I took the pump and the DIY filter from the 'rescue' pond and I've plumbed that in to the IBC tank. I will delay moving my fish over for a few weeks until I know the new fish have settled. What's a normal QT period? 4 weeks?

The filter currently contains some randomly stacked scaffold netting, flocor tubes and some old foams, but I will put my filters on when I add my fish.

Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
