I went for 9" in the end
I was worried they could flip over 6" as i wanted to raise the water level of the pond nearer to the top of window

We started to sell some pond jump guards but had to take a break for a while but back to offering the pond jump guards again if anyone is interested. I think this time ill just list them on eBay as easier to manage and see when people order or have questions.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/114793503678 for now just going to offer to type that being round post or square post options with flat end caps.

Hey am building my pond and have a heron issue, what size jump guard would be best to prevent him having breakfast at my expense...I am assuming this will be higher than preventing the fish jumping out...
Running heater at low temp?
Covering the pond with polycarb should be enough to stop water temps dipping below 6C for the most...
