Another newbie to forum
hi all new to the forum but had a pond for 19 years come march 2021. pond is approx 6500 lts and filtered by a monster RTF 5550 pump feed and a 25 watt uv with a homemade foam fractioner.
I finally retired from work end of February and then covid kicked so have spent most of the summer reworking the back garden all looks fine apart condition of pond water. filter not catching the finer particles etc forever cleaning it.
so im considering buying an easypod automatic which will give me far more room in the fish house so the question is.
what the pro's and cons
what the best price you know of best ive seen is £645 followed by £695.
any other suggestions welcomed.
just remeber im a tight fisted Yorkshireman
regards

Welcome to the forum rolo and happy retirement, well after this year anyway!
Can't comment on the easy pod as no experience with them, however I've seen many on similar sized ponds. Also you might grab a bargain at this time of year for used ones
Would be nice to see your pond too.
Cheers

Hi Keith I was in 2 minds to which pod to go for spent hours online looking at reviews and decided to go for a basic pod as too many problems with the auto,
I got a few issues with the build quality with the one the wife bought me as a surprise, the micro k1 kept leaking out the middle chamber so switched over to normal k1 and works a dream now .if you don't mind putting a pipe in the middle to clean it once a week then save your penny's and go for one without auto.

Hi Keith,
I've had an Eazy Pod auto with UV running on my 4500 litre pond for the last couple of years and I've been very happy with it. Water is gin clear and I've had no health problems - touch wood.
The only problem I've had was a leaking waste valve that I replaced a couple of months ago. I also bought an additional UV as the pond gets quite a bit of full sun during the afternoon.
Other than flushing it out once a month with a hose - its been maintenance free.

hi guys
went for easypod auto now being running just short of a month and no problems water is crystal clear but have not feed for over a week as unheated and this afternoons water temp is ZERO. will see how it goes next year when we start to feed and the green algie tries to make an appearence.. may add a sieve we wait and see.
all the best for the new year to all members
