Some Koi looking for a new home.
Hi. I have 3 koi I am looking to move on as I am overstocked at the moment. All 3 are kohaku's although the largest one lost the last of its beni last year. I am guessing its over 60cm although not measured lately. The other two were bought about 3 years ago at the All England Koi show. I would say both are over 45cm. One of them had a bang to the head 2 years ago and still has the scar to prove it. Other than that all healthy.
I am not looking for any money for them. I just need the space.
I have bags for transporting. I am on the Essex/Suffolk boarder.
Let me know if you are interested.
Steve.

Hi gdalf,
Not seen you on here in a while!
It was your sleeper pond build, possibly the one after you moved house if memory serves, that inspired my first sleeper pond build.
Not sure if it was you that put me into a macerator to remove Nexus waste as well.
Hope you are well and your pond still going well.

Hi Rs2000
Yes it's me. Only been back on the last couple of weeks as my old tablet broke and it took me probably about a year to getvaround to installing tapatalk again and remember my login!
The sleeper pond is still going well. No real issues. I have since added a deck for viewing the pond from a slightly more elevated view point.
My previous maserator gave up the ghost, so now on my second one.
How is your pond and maserator doing?

My macerator worked really hard to be fair as I used it for water changes to the extent it would cut out from overheating.
Having read a few stories about them packing up I kept my eyes open for a cheap spare and eventually picked up a new unused one for £40 off eBay.
A few months later mine stopped working, sounded like it was really labouring for a while before it stopped, so I swapped it out.
The new one was exactly the same, only then did I realise the non-return valve/flap had broken off the outlet and had blocked the pipe!
Retrieved it from the pipe and everything fine since - so now the original one is on the shelf as a spare.
No longer have a sleeper pond as I moved house and new house already had a 3300 gallon concrete pond so I recommissioned that and still using the macerator on the end of the drum waste pipe.

Hi Gdalf
Great news and I would love to give them a new home.
I am fitting a new liner to my pond over the weekend as the old one sprung a leak and I lost a few Koi. They would be a welcome addition.
I can pick up any day next week so please let me know what is best for you.
Thanks
Jamie
